South Staffordshire residents - Car thefts

Your latest Smart Alert.

Residents of South Staffordshire, we’d like to make you aware that we’re experiencing a high number of crime reports for keyless thefts on motor vehicles in your area.

Cars commonly targeted for car key burglaries: • Audi • BMW • Mercedes • Volkswagen

Vehicles commonly targeted for keyless thefts: • Ford cars and Transit vans

Our advice to you is to consider purchasing a crook lock your steering wheel and for keyless vehicles, a Faraday bag for the key fob to be placed inside while it is left in the house. Both are cheap, readily available and good security measures.
