Following on from the successful completion of the Wheel Project, the Parish Council are exited about a new community project initiative, being undertaken by the council, to improve the area of the Lone Singer Gardens.
The project has involved many people and organisations, including, Codsall Community High School and their talented Art Students, who have designed and painted a Mural for the location. The Mural depicts pockets of time of important or significant events/people/structures of Codsall Parish; all on a painted backdrop of the Doomsday Book.
A Peace Garden will also be created; the area has already been cleared of ivy, bindweed and debris by volunteers from Codsall Community Group in preparation for professional landscaping by Boningale Nurseries, who have also kindly donated plants to the value of £1,500.00, towards the scheme.
The Idea for, and partial design of a Peace Garden, was instigated by members of St Nicholas Church. The project will officially be opened on 21st September 2017 at 11.00am, by the Chairman of Codsall Parish Council - Councillor Mrs Megan Barrow.
Reverend Simon Whitcombe will follow on with the, `Blessing of the Community Peace Gardens`.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Singing Lady Garden Project.
